June through August was eventful for our family.

John got sick at the end of June with CMV and was ill through the middle of August with a nasty fever and weakness, and missed a month of work. During that time his gall bladder went south, which led to other problems.

All were happier when he got better and went back to work on Aug. 12. As this is written, an operation to yank his gall bladder is pending.

Maria's back went out while John was in the hospital with the fever and abdominal trouble, and Yasemin proved a brave and strong young lady in helping take care of Riley during that tough time.

Riley stayed healthy, thank the Lord, and just got cuter and cuter, with longer, curlier hair, and became more demanding!

We are grateful to God for our family, and Thank God every day, every moment.
